Many dog owners often want to share something tasty with their beloved pet, but do not forget that some food products for dogs are strictly prohibited. To preserve the health of your four-legged friend, it is worth taking seriously the choice of his diet. Some foods are just downright bad for dogs and can cause all sorts of health problems. Even if your dog has eaten these foods in the past with no problems, they could be causing serious issues that you might not be aware of. Here are a few foods you should never feed dogs, no matter how adorably they beg you.
Nuts
First of all, dogs should not be treated with any kind of nuts. Their stomachs are not adapted for digesting food, so even one harmless walnut can cause intestinal obstruction in the dog. Therefore, veterinarians strongly recommend that you not experiment with this product and hide the nuts away from the eyes of a dog.
Raw eggs
It is not recommended to feed your pet with raw eggs, which can be a source of parasite infestation. But boiled eggs, as a source of protein, can be included in your pet's diet 2-4 times a week, depending on the breed and individual tolerance. On rare occasions, with frequent egg feeding, dogs may develop gas. Monitor your pet and regulate its diet.
Some bones
Certain types of bones can also harm the animal. Many people may not even think about it. However, if you want to treat your dog with a bone, then it is better to buy a treat at a pet store. After all, when a dog chews on a bone, endorphins are produced in its body, so it would be unfair to deprive a pet of such pleasure. And for a puppy, during the period of changing teeth, bones are a necessity.
Chocolate
Veterinarians strongly forbid giving chocolate to dogs. The fact is that this product contains theobromine. In humans, this substance is metabolized very quickly, while in dogs it accumulates to toxic concentrations in the tissues of the body and causes severe poisoning. Therefore, for them this delicacy is a real poison! If you want to pamper your beloved dog with something sweet, treat him with a banana, apple or dried fruit.
Fried Fish
Dogs are strongly discouraged from feeding fried fish. The safest options are boiled or frozen fish without viscera and head. With this treatment, dangerous parasites die, but most of the necessary nutrients are retained.
Take care of yourself and your pets!
